Bluecoat Academy on Aspley Lane recently asked if one of our members could give a talk to a group of autistic students on their Expressive Art course. Society member Mick Gibson took up the request. The course tutor has sent the following message of thanks.
"I just wanted to write a short note to say thank you for passing my details onto one of your artist Michael Gibson. He made a visit to our school and did a presentation of his book illustration. The students really loved it and have been inspired with so many ideas as a result. Our students all have additional need and to see them so interested and excited and also to be left talking about the experience was amazing. I would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks once again."
