Membership of the Society is open to everyone over the age of 18. Members pay an annual subscription of £95 which entitles them to participate in the painting groups and join in any other activities supported by the Society. The annual subscription runs from April to March. You may join at any time during the year and a reduction to £50 applies from November, and £30 from January.
A 50% discount on the above rates is now in place for under-25 year olds.
The groups practice Life, Clothed Model, Portrait and Still Life drawing and painting and meet six days and two evenings a week. You can go to as many groups as you wish.
A member wishing to exhibit in Society exhibitions in our attractive ground floor gallery can apply to become an Exhibiting Member. You can download an application form from this website or obtain one from the gallery. You can send in the completed form at any time, but applications are processed twice a year at the Fellows' meetings in March and September.
After submission, you will receive a letter explaining what you need to do, which includes submitting 3 finished works together with a small portfolio of about 6 items just before the relevant Fellows meeting.
Exhibiting Members pay an additional annual subscription fee of £30 which covers exhibition costs.
