I’m delighted to share some news with you as a Fellow of the Society and an Art Educator, and I hope it may encourage others to take a similar leap.
I took part as one of the WILD CARD artists on Landscape Artist of the Year – Series 11, which returns to Sky Arts, Freeview and NOW on the 14th of January. You can see me painting on location in St James’ Park, London, with my episode airing on 21 January.
The experience of painting under time constraints, alongside other artists, and in such an iconic public setting was both challenging and hugely rewarding. It reinforced for me the value of stepping outside our comfort zones and embracing opportunities that test and develop our practice.
I wanted to share this with the Society because I know how much talent exists within our membership.
If appropriate, I would be very grateful if the Society might consider sharing this news on the NSA website and social media platforms, as it may inspire other members to explore similar opportunities.
