The Nottingham Society of Artists (the Society) was founded in 1880, making it one of the oldest art societies in the country. The object of membership is to bring together for mutual help and inspiration, artists and others interested in the Visual Arts who are resident in Nottingham and district. Exhibitions held by the society take place in St Luke’s House which is owned by the Nottingham Society of Artists’ Trust (NSA Trust) – a registered Charity number 1078062.

All members of the Society pay an annual subscription to the NSA Trust which entitles them to participate in the painting groups and join in any other activities supported by the Trust.
Any member of the Trust wishing to become an Exhibiting (Affiliate) Member should submit 3 FINISHED WORKS together with a small portfolio of about 6 items and the appropriate Application Form (available on the website, at the gallery or from the Secretary). No extra submission fee is required. Work needs to be sent in prior to the Council Meetings on the 1st Tuesday in March or September.
