Nottingham Society of Artists is located in St Luke’s’ House an Art Deco building in Friar Lane just down from the Castle.
Membership of the Society is open to everyone over the age of 18. Members pay an annual subscription of £75 which entitles them to participate in the painting groups and join in any other activities supported by the Society. The groups practice Life, Clothed Model, Portrait and Still Life drawing and painting and meet six days and four evenings a week. You can go to as many groups as you wish and you may join at any point during the year.
If you wish to exhibit in Society exhibitions in our attractive downstairs gallery you may apply to become an Exhibiting Member. You should submit 3 FINISHED WORKS together with a small portfolio of about 6 items and the appropriate Application Form (available on the website, at the gallery or from the Secretary). Work needs to be sent in prior to the Fellows Meetings on the 1st Tuesday in March or September. Successful applicants become Exhibiting Members of the Society at the Affiliate level, and may subsequently progress through Associate level and possibly become a Fellow of the Society. Exhibiting Members pay an additional annual subscription fee of £15 which covers exhibition costs.
